The region of Provence has been popular with the British for many years and is synonymous with peace, tranquillity and breathtaking scenery unrivalled in France.

There are no big towns or cities here - but there are many picturesque villages perched upon hilltops, most of which are Medieval with cobbled streets and wonderful vistas of the surrounding countryside. Provence is very similar to Tuscany and a little similar to the Costa Brava in Spain.
The golf courses are wonderful and are far more accessible and well-priced compared to the courses on the Cote d'Azur. There is a fine selection of about a dozen courses most of which are designed in incredible scenery by top European and American architects such as Pete B Dye, Cabell Robinson and Ronald Fream. Watch out for the great courses of St Endreol, Barbaroux, Fregate and St Maxime to name but four!
