One of the Worlds most exotic destinations, numerous cultural influences have all combined to shape the Maurition way
of life that is no more evident than in its cuisine.
White sandy beaches sweeping down to the turquoise Indian Ocean have established this lush sandy Island as a popular
retreat for beach lovers, but since the opening of the Belle Mare Plage Championship course in 1994, Mauritius has also
become a firm favourite with the golfing fraternity. The recent additions of the Els Course at Four Seasons and the Tamarina course on the east coast, has added a huge level of demand for the discerning golfer. Mauritius won an award as the best long haul golfing venue in 2007, since then it has got even better because the Els course is a real treat.
It's also an island steeped in history, and we just love the mix of cultures that make it such an interesting place
for visitors. The food in particular is an amazing blend of several different influences. Something else we love about
Mauritius is that its people are warm and friendly and welcome visitors with open arms.
Mauritius is fast becoming a golfer's paradise. Look out for - the French Colonial style Telfair Resort; The One & Only
Le Touessrok Resort with free daily golf on Le Touessrok; and our old favourite the Belle Mare Plage, which offers free golf on the superb Links & Legends courses. The sumptuous accommodation of Four Seasons and the luxury villas of Tamarina and the Residences at Anahita World Sanctuary offer much more variety of accommodation.
