Area Description
At just over 2 hours flight from the UK and with year round sunshine,
the largest of the Balearic iislands, Majorca, has everything we've come
to expect from a well developed tourist resort. Despite being famous for
it's lively atmosphere, it still retains it's charm and historical splendour,
a fine example being the 14th Century Gothic Cathedral of Palma. The original
fishing harbour still remains, but fishing boats are now in the minority
when compared to the large expensive yachts moored in the nautical club
and marina.
Though not a traditional golfing destination, it's becoming increasingly
popular thanks to good standard gold courses and very reasonable green
fees. There are no less than 13 golf courses on the island providing excellent
variety for players of all levels.
