Area Description
When we’re in the mood for somewhere a little different, with a
touch of the exotic, Thailand is always near the top of our list. This
welcoming and friendly country lies at the heart of Southeast Asia and
offers a unique golfing experience.
It’s a land of contrasts, which can be divided into four distinct
areas. The north is mountainous, with forests, lush valleys and a cooler
climate than the rest of the country. The fertile central plains of the
Chao Phrava River are where most of Thailand’s rice crop is grown.
The north-east is semi-arid. But the southern peninsula, with lush rainforests,
tropical beaches and islands is our favourite, and it’s where all
the Bill Goff accommodation can be found.
Thailand’s climate is tropical, especially in the south. The sun,
the temperature, great food, a fabulous nightlife, the most amazing golf
courses with reasonable green fees and caddies for just £3 a round
- where else on earth could you possibly get all this? The caddies will
carry your clubs, read your putt probably better than you, know the distances
to the greens and laugh at your wayward shots!
